Many people think that the main purpose of using a Professional Real Estate Photographer is getting the house sold.
But that’s not really the case.
Thousands of homes sell each year with sub standard photos but the ones that sell more quickly, at the highest prices, by the agents with the best profiles in the area, all use professional real estate photographers.

Around 90% of buyers start searching on the internet.
It is a well known fact that around 90% of buyers look on the internet when starting their search for a new property. They research and compare homes on the internet; make a shortlist; drive the area to check them out and go to Open Homes all long before contacting an agent.
If the photos don’t capture their attention when they are first doing their research they will pass by that listing and go on to the next one on the internet so, that house won’t even get their consideration.
People believe what they see in a photo and will judge a property on that impression, long before they will read (or trust) all the rest of the text written by the agent. So if the photo does not get their attention they won’t even read the text.
Perception of Value.
Buyers perception of value is influenced by the quality of the photos. If the photos are poor they will believe that the value is not there. If the photos look great they see value and feel they would be proud to live in such a property. So, the same house can achieve a higher selling price with good, professional photography.
Agents get more listings.
When sellers search for a Real Estate Agent to sell their home they are naturally attracted to agents who appear to be selling outstanding properties. Remember most sellers are proud of their home and believe it is their castle. They want it to look great so they can achieve the highest price.
It is only natural therefore that they are going to hire the agent who presents his properties in the best way. Agents can only achieve that by using a good, professional real estate photographer.
